Mik Current
In early 2015, Michelangelo collaborated with different musicians and decided to include saxophone, trumpet, trombone, congas, and other Latin percussion to his Indie rock sound. The band went to the studio in April 2015 and recorded their first single, "Rabbit Box," which received positive reviews from Speak Into My Good Eye,[1] Play My Tape, and other music outlets. Then Michelangelo decided to return to the studio to record a full EP. The EP consists of five songs. Among them you can find "Lies" and "Silhouette", which received recognition in Venezuela, making them top one hits in Energia 100.5 FM and SPAZIO 100.3FM. "Lies" also received praise from worldwide known music tastemaker Kevin Bronson[2] that writes for magazines like Spin (magazine), LA Weekly, and Buzzbands.LA. In his article, Bronson referred to "Lies" as a "sexy, brooding" song. In addition, Michelangelo had an interview with Miami Life Awards winner for Newspaper of the Year, Doral News. Mik Current started the year 2016 strong by playing at El Cid, The Mint, and other venues.
