Mika Muramatsu (Japanese: 村松 美香, Hepburn: Muramatsu Mika, born January 30, 1969) is a Japanese former professional actress. She played characters in several Japanese movies and TV series of horror, fantasy, and action, until the retirement after her marriage.[1]

Life[edit]

Mika Muramatsu, known for her bright smile, is from Tokyo.[2] She attended Horikoshi High School from 1984 to 1986, and was classmates with Miho Aota, Aki Kiyohara, Kaori Shimura, Mikako Hashimoto, Chisato Moritaka, Saori Yagi, Reiko Yasuhara, and Mami Yamase.[3] She joined the JAC training school in May 1983, and was a member of the Japan Action Club in May 1984.[2] She is best known for her main role in the horror film Yellow Fangs[4], for whom she surpassed even the biggest actors and won the New Actor Award at the 14th Japan Academy Film Prize on March 22, 1991.[5] Her hobbies are classical ballet, swimming, music, and watching movies.[2] She is actually wife and mother.
