Miguel Bernal Montes,[1] (Madrid, May 27 1993)[2] better known by his YouTube name Mikecrack, is a Spanish YouTube personality, known for his let's plays from games like Minecraft, animations and musical parodies.

Biography and carrer[edit]

Montes start his YouTube career in 2009 with his real name, in that channel, he would upload magic tricks, however, he left that channel to focus in his biotechnology university career.[1][3]

Montes was studying biomedical tecnology in a university when, in 2016, he opened another YouTube channel called Mikecraft, where start uploading let's play videos of games like Minecraft, Roblox, etc.[1]

Montes start a serious dedication to YouTube playing indie sandbox videogame Minecraft[3] since 2016.[4] In that way, Montes start a team called Los #CoMPas with the also Spanish youtubers ElTrollino, Timba Vk[3] and Sparta356,[4] the team is frequently showed in the videos of the members.[1] Montes saided that one of his most important inspirations in his YouTube career is the Spanish youtuber Willyrex.[4]

Montes changed the name of his YouTube channel from Mikecraft to Mikecrack after a poll that he did to his suscribers in March 2017, according to him, because when people search Mikecraft in YouTube searcher, doesn't appear his channel, but appear Minecraft content of another youtubers.[5]

In 2020, he was called by Forbes Spain as one of "the 10 better influencers of 2020", keeping the 4th place of the list.[6][7]

Montes was a nominated to the "International" category in the 2020 edition of the Streamy Awards, although he don't gain the award.[8]
