Mina Başaran
Mina Başaran (March 11, 1990 – March 11, 2018) was a Turkish socialite, businesswoman, and the daughter of Hüseyin Başaran. Mina Towers, one of Istanbul’s biggest construction projects, is named after her.[1][2][3] She also has been in the board of directors of the Başaran Holding since November 2013.[4] Başaran wrote about her travels in several printed and online magazines.[5]
Death[edit]
Başaran was killed in the 2018 Bombardier Challenger 604 crash, alongside seven of her friends, flying back from a party in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, ahead of her planned wedding on April 14, 2018, to Murat Gezer, owner of the print shop Metprint Baskı Sistemleri. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented his condolences formally on live TV.
