Miss Charm International 1989 brought together former candidates and representatives who had participated in other important competitions such as Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International among others. In the first edition Meltem Hakarar, representative of Turkey, 19 years and 1.82 cm was crowned as the first Miss Charm International 1989. A year ago she represented Turkey in Miss Universe 1988.
