The organizer was working on the concept of Body positivity and wanted to boost the morale of plus size women in the country. The first ever Miss and Mrs. Curvy Queenbeauty pageantwas held at Pune, Maharashtra. The beauty pageant finale saw 15finalists competing for the crown. The Pageant was open tom all plus size women irrespective of their age or height. This is the first ever beauty pageant for the plus size women in India.[1].The contestants were chosen after a series of auditions held in several parts of the western parts of the country. Grooming Sessions[edit]
The final 15 contestants were put through a 15 day grooming session, where they learnt the final aspects of grooming, the aqua zumba dance, image overs & fashion styling tips, look make overs and were given fitness and Nutrition tips. During the grooming sessions the contestants were transformed and make overs of look personality were given to all of them.
