Mitthulal Agrahari

Mitthulal Agrahari (died 2009) was an Indian freedom fighter, and he was jailed for participating in Independence movement in 1942.

Early life[edit]

He was from Pashchimi Kaudiya Pakka Pokhra of Shahganj in present-day of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. He natively hailed from Azamgarh, United Provinces, British India.

Imprisonment[edit]

Mitthulal Agrahari was actively involved in freedom movement in 1942 during Quit India Movement. A case was registered against him under 38 & 35 (4) DIR. On 3 September 1942 arrested and imprisoned for six month.

Death and honour[edit]

At the age of 105 years, Mitthulal Agrahari died on 5 October 2009, morning following a heart attack. He was cremated with the Guard of Honor.[1]
