Vanchinathan T
Vanchinathan T (born 29 Nov 1984) is an Indian [(entrepreneur)], industrialist and philanthropist. He is the founder and chairman of group of companies including Jeanuvs, Yeemak, and Vidvedaa. His work involves semiconductor design, aerospace and defense, and Electronic System Design and Manufacturing, in support of the Make in India initiative.
Early life and education
Vanchinathan was born in Ambalapattu, Thanjavur district, to an agricultural family and attended Tamil-medium schools through class XII. A first-generation graduate, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2006. During his pre-final year of study, he was selected for the EDUSAT program, a satellite-based educational initiative.
Career
The industry exposure gained through his undergraduate training led to early roles within the global semiconductor design and manufacturing sector.
Business ventures
Jeanuvs
In 2008, Vanchinathan founded Jeanuvs Pvt. Ltd. as a semiconductor design firm. By 2009, the company transitioned into an Electronic System Design and Manufacturing firm specializing in the defense and aerospace sectors, where it developed radar systems and avionics. To support indigenization efforts, he established a 100,000 sq. ft. dedicated Research and Development (R&D) center in 2019. This was followed in 2025 by the commissioning of a 200,000 sq. ft. integrated R&D and manufacturing campus at Vallam, designed for the in-house production and testing of defense systems.
Vidveda
In 2019, he founded Vidveda Pvt. Ltd., an EPC infrastructure firm. The company develops green buildings and operates as an airport retail concessionaire, including projects at Chennai International Airport under a DBFOT model.
Yeemak
In 2022, he established Yeemak Pvt. Ltd., a manufacturing ecosystem serving over 15 global OEMs in the telecommunications, Home Appliances medical device, Automotive and consumer electronics sectors.
