Miutcánk (blocal outside of Hungary) is a social networking service for neighborhoods based in Budapest, Hungary. Founded in 2014, the company aims to connect neighbours in big cities, facilitating a sharing economy among them, where users can share tools and knowledge with each other.[1][2].
Upon registration, people are supposed to use their full names and physical addresses (the latter of which will not be visible to others). The visibility of posts is not public, users cannot see all the posts written on the platform, rather only those written in their neighbourhood, creating hyperlocal communities[3].

Miutcánk was co-founded by Zsolt Bakó, Gáspár Horváth and Dávid Szabó[4].
Use[edit]
Typical platform use includes neighbours sharing/lending tools between each other, sharing contacts of local handymen, and sharing information about local events. On their profile page, users can fill in their hobbies and their inventory of items that they are willing to share. With the use of a searchbox they can search for objects the neighbours are sharing and can interact with these neighbours through a dedicated message board or via private messages. In 2018, a user had around 1000-1500 neighbours registered on the platform in Budapest[5]
