Mixing Station Anywhere
Mixing Station Anywhere[1] is a cloud-based platform for remote live audio mixing. It enables audio engineers to control compatible digital mixing consoles in real time over an internet connection, extending the capabilities of software based mixer control beyond local networks.
The platform was developed by Mixing Station[2] and BoxCast[3] in partnership.[4] It combines digital mixer control software from Mixing Station with cloud connectivity infrastructure and remote access and control from BoxCast.
Mixing Station Anywhere is used in professional and semi-professional audio workflows where remote mixing, monitoring, or adjustment of live sound is required.
Overview
Mixing Station Anywhere software provides remote control access to digital audio mixing consoles through cloud connection. Mixing Station Agent[5] is used to establish a connection between a compatible digital mixer and the cloud service, enabling remote communication between the mixer and control interface. Mixing Station Web[6] is the web control interface which allows audio engineers to adjust mixer parameters through a web browser.
The platform operates within the professional audio and live production industries and is commonly associated with broadcast and live streaming workflows. It is used by systems integrators, audio visual consultants, managed audio service providers, multi venue operators, touring production teams, front of house engineers.[7] It is additionally used in venues, houses of worship, and music festivals.
History
Mixing Station was released in 2019 as a software application for controlling digital audio mixing consoles.[8] Over time, the platform has expanded to support additional mixer manufacturers and control methods.[9]
BoxCast began offering web based live streaming services in 2013.[10] It supports video and audio distribution to websites, mobile applications, social media, and OTT applications. It supports various encoder options for video ingestion and audio inputs.[11]
In July 2025 BoxCast introduced RemoteMix,[12] a product that enabled remote audio mixing for live streaming workflows. In January 2026, Mixing Station announced a formal partnership that joined Mixing Station's digital mixer control software with BoxCast's remote connectivity and live streaming infrastructure.[13]
Functionality
Mixing Station Anywhere supports remote control of common digital mixer functions, including adjustment of preamp gain, equalization, dynamics processing, and other channel and bus level parameters.[14] It also allows for multiple faders or controls to be adjusted simultaneously through virtual groups.[15] All controls can be made through a uniform control interface, regardless of the brand or model of digital mixer it is controlling.
Support hardware and compatibility
Mixing Station Anywhere is compatible with digital audio mixing consoles from multiple manufacturers, including Behringer, Allen & Heath, Soundcraft, Mackie, Yamaha, PreSonus, and Midas.[16]
