The Modern Art Research Institute of Ukrainian Academy of Arts[lower-alpha 1] (MARI NAA of Ukraine)[lower-alpha 2], founded in December 2001 by Government of Ukraine[1] at the initiative of Victor Sydorenko is a research institution for contemporary art in Ukraine linked with National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. The institute focuses on fundamental scientific research, postgraduate education, book publishing, exhibitions and conferences related to modern art history and cultural studies[2].
