Shoot Yourself
Shoot Yourself is a 2022 sculpture by the internationally exhibited artist Dmitry Iv[1] created and temporarily publicly installed in Kyiv, Ukraine during the Russian Invasion. The work depicts through the use of figurative abstraction Russian President Vladimir Putin committing suicide via a self inflicted gunshot into his open mouth.
The work was put on display by the artidt in a prominent public square which once housed a monument to the Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin. After eight hours the work was taken away.
Iv has said of the worl of art ..."The sculpture speaks for itself,” ... “Putin is a war criminal and war criminals can do two things. They can either be put in prison, or shoot themselves"...[2][3][4][5]
