Dato Mohamed Yusoff, born 2 May 1979 commonly referred to as ‘DMY’ is a serial entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of DMY Group of Companies.[1] He is widely known for his film distribution network and DMY Jewellers.[2][3]
Career
Dato Mohamed started his first business in 2011 with DMY Jewellers later he went on to venture into multiple business streams including Movie Distribution, DMY Securities and so on.[4][5]
Dato Mohamed Yusoff was honoured with the esteemed Order of the Crown of Pahang by the fifth Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah Ibni, Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al Muadzam Shah, on October 24, 2015 [6]
DMY entered The Malaysia Book of Records with the groundbreaking accomplishment of the 'Highest Altitude Skydive from a Helicopter’ on September 5, 2022, to announce AR Rahman Live in Concert at Malaysia.[7]
Mohamed Yusoff released the first ever Malaysian biopic Anwar: The Untold Story of the esteemed Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim which went on to become a nationwide blockbuster collecting RM 1 million on the day of release.[8]
The Oscar Award-winning A. R. Rahman's live concert in Malaysia, hosted by DMY on January 28, 2023, has become the most attended Indian live show in Malaysia. The event witnessed a remarkable footfall of 72,137 people.[9]
