Mohammad H. Javaheri (born 1989) is an Iranian composer.

Biography[edit]

He was born and raised in 1989 in Tehran. In 2009, he started studying at Tehran Conservatory and playing flute in their orchestra. After graduating in Computer Software in 2012, he started playing Setar at Tehran University of Art and completed his bachelor’s degree in Iranian Music Performance in 2015. Meanwhile, he was a bass singer in Tehran Choir and composed for several TV series. He also worked as a piano instructor at Tehran conservatory for 2 years and had performed his pieces in Iran.

In 2017, he started his master’s degree in composition at Bilkent University with Tolga Yayalar and had his pieces were performed in several festivals in Turkey such as "Bilkent Brassfest’18" and "Sesin Yolculuğu genç besteciler festivali 2017.[1] and 2018[2]" with Hezarfen ensemble. Encountering Electro-Acoustic music, initially with Tolga Yayalar and continuing with Robin Minard, has led to various performances during his career. After being nominated for the Erasmus+ Program in 2018 to study at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt, Weimar with Ulrich Kreppein, he has been working with different musicians and orchestras such as Carin Levine, Radiofm. Bauhaus, SWR Symphonieorchester, MDR Leipzig Radio Symphony Orchestra[3] and Digital Bauhaus Orchestras, and also ensembles including De Musique Expérimentale Du Bauhaus, MISE-EN, Adapter, Cikada, Omnibus[4] and NeoQuartet. He has been a guest talker in "Transcultural Music" at HfM Weimar, had concerts and performances in Arnstadt, numerous places in Weimar, ZKM Next Generation 8.0, Weimarer Frühjahrstage für zeitgenössische Musik 2019[4] and 2020[5], and was awarded prizes in the 20th International Chamber Music Composition Competition in Germany[6]

H. Javaheri is currently a composer at via nova Zeitgenössische Musik in Thüringen e. V.[7] and also a composer member of DKV-Deutscher Komponistenverband[8], DEFKOM-Deutsche Filmkomponistenunion[9] and FEM-Fachgruppe E-Musik (German Composers Association, German Film Composers Union and Department of E-Music). In 2019, he was selected as one of the featured composers of MISE-EN New York Festival in the USA, BCA19 Academy[10] in Turkey, Synthetis Academy in Poland, SWR orchestra workshop in Germany and Los Angeles Kaleidoscope[11] in the USA. In 2020, his orchestral piece "De Novo Remutations" had been broadcasted on SWR2 radio station, and several of his compositions have been selected by "Petrichor Records"[12] to be published in the USA.

He has worked with noteworthy composers such as Mark Andre, Eivind Buene, Mahir Cetiz, Chaya Czernowin, Hamidreza Dibazar, Christian Eggen, Hannah Eimermacher, Micheal Ellison, Cengiz Hakki Eren, Amir Eslami, Toshio Hosokawa, Juste Janulyte, Reinhard Karger, Karen Keyhani, Zygmunt Krauze, Bruno Mantovani, Micheal Obst, Laurie San Martin, Pieter Snapper, Onur Türkmen and Ken Ueno.
