Mohammad Habib Reza (born 1978) is an architect, architectural historian and heritage management expert. He is a Director of the Heritage and Cultural Identity of the International Union of Architects.[1] He is a specialist on the Early Buddhist architecture and history of Bengal architecture.

Academic career[edit]

Reza took his B.Arch. at Khulna University in 1996. He started his Master of Philosophy in architectural history at the University of Liverpool in 2007 and transferred to Ph.D. in history of architecture at Nottingham Trent University in 2008; his dissertation was titled "Early Buddhist Architecture of Bengal: Morphological study on the vihāras of c. 3rd to 8th centuries".[2] He is an associate professor of architecture at the BRAC University, Dhaka, where he has been teaching since 2013.[3] He has written numerous academic books and papers on the history of Bengal and its architecture.[4]
