Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh[1] (born 01 January 1998) is a chess player from India, who won the 1st SAARC Chess Championship (open) in 2019[2] which was held at Bangladesh. He became International Master in 2016 [3] & received the Shiv Chhatrapati (highest prestigious) Sports State Award [4] by Government of Maharashtra in 2018. He completed graduation in civil engineering from Mumbai University in 2019.[5]

Nubairshah Shaikh is also former Commonwealth junior champion (2017).[6] Recently he has won the Silver Lake Open 2022 in Serbia [7] missing his final Grandmaster norm by a whisker.
