Mohammed Ahmed Abdullah Al-Harthi (Arabic:محمد أحمد الحارثي) is an Omani poet and writer who  was born in 1962 in  Al Mudhairib. He has obtained his BA in Geology and Marine Sciences from Qatar University in 1986. He worked at the Center for Marine and Fisheries Sciences, traveling between Morocco and Oman. He published his first poetry in some Arab periodicals, such as Al-Carmel and Mawaqif. He has many collections of poetry and is a pioneer in travel literature in Oman.[1][2]

Biography[edit]

  • Alharthi was born in 1962 in Al Mudhairib.
  • He has obtained his BA in Geology and Marine Sciences from Qatar University in 1986.
  • He worked at the Center for Marine and Fisheries Sciences, traveling between Morocco and Oman.
  • Besides poetry, he was interested in a literary essay, wrote a prose poems, and first published his literature in Arabic periodicals such as Al-Carmel and Mawaqif .[2]
  • Al-Harthi died at the dawn of May 27, 2018, after a struggle with illness, at fifty-six of age in Muscat.[2]
