Mohinder Kaur Midha is a British politician[1] and former Mayor of the London Borough of Ealing.[2] She is the first Dalit woman to become a mayor in the United Kingdom.[3]
Personal life
She was born and raised in a Sikh family of Bara Pind in Jalandhar District.[4] After completing her postgraduate studies, she immigrated to England in 1972. She is also an executive member of Guru Ravidas Temple, Southall, and a member of the Indian Workers Association.[5]
