Monogamous Gays Australia (MGA) is a not-for-profit, support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals that celebrates and promotes monogamous, loving and faithful gay relationships.[1] The group encourages singles to take a stand, beyond one night and hold out for the one. The group supports new couples in getting to know each other before intimacy.

The group was launched on New Year's Eve 2012 and encouraged gay Australians to make 'monogamy' their 2013 new years resolution.[2] Within the first month of their launch, the group stirred significant debate within the GLBT community via a SameSame feature article.[3]

Subsequent opinion pieces that refuted monogamy,[4] promoting broader relationship choices of the gay community, and others that defended monogamy[5] included the academic response from a Churchill Fellow[6] and a community pastor.[7]
