Mothalum Kaadhalum: Vikram Vedha Kadhal Kathai (ttransl.:Fights and Love: Vikram and Vedha's love story) is an upcoming Tamil-language soap opera starring Sameer and Ashwathy in the lead roles.[1][2] It is set to premiere on 24 April at 18:30 on Star Vijay, replacing Raja Rani 2[3][4] and will be available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
The show is the second remake of the Hindi show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which aired on StarPlus; and a remake of the Tamil show Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai which aired in 2014 on Star Vijay.

Casting[edit]
It was announced that Sameer and Ashwathy would play leading roles in the serial, with Janani, Santhosh, Nalini and Narasimha Raju to be supporting roles.[5]
Release[edit]
Initially, the title of the serial was named Vikram Vedha.[6][7] Later renamed as Mothalum Kaadhalum. The initial promo for the show was released on 6 March, with both Vikram and Vedha clashing at Vikram's brother's registered marriage function.[8] The second promo shows the aftermath of the event, with Vedha quipping a joke at Vikram, annoying him.[9] The third and fourth promos introduce us to both Vedha and Vikram respectively.[10][11]
