Motor City Connect is a business, social and community social networking site mainly used for professional networking. As of September 2008[update], MCC has 1586[1] members in the Metro Detroit area. The goal of the group is to shine a light on great things happening in Metro Detroit, network with business leaders, take an active role in the community, and grow businesses. The group was founded by Terry Bean in 2006.
It is an optimistic group. There are not a lot of rules and rituals to the group. Their events are often light-hearted affairs. They believe business should be fun, that their successes benefit the community and that people should make a positive impact every day.

The purpose of the site is to Metro Detroit business professionals meet, understand and connect. As a group, they strive to be a catalyst for great things happening in the community. Members are often referred to as Connectors. The group is free to join and open to all business professionals.
Connectors use the site in a variety of ways:
- Meet professionals in a particular field
- Find networking opportunities in the area
- Discuss business and social issues in the forums
- Search for business and employment opportunities
- Join with like minded folks to help charitable organizations.
