Moving UP - The Movie is a 2022 Filipino Coming-of-age story Film directed by Maru Peter Henry and starring Shane Carrera, Janika Castillo, Allison Mendiola, and Clyde Valerozo. It was produced by Circlestone Productions. Moving Up is a story of Calvin – an estranged student who's on a journey to find the true meaning of love. Giving himself a chance for a new beginning in a new school, he meets new friends who'll help him believe that kindness still exists in this world full of wickedness.
Synopsis
Calvin is a transfer student at Banyuhay National High School who hates everyone. Just when he thought that school's nothing but dull and boring, he finds a spark to keep him going. How will a boy who feels unwanted everywhere he goes finally learn the true meaning of love, in friendship, in family, and within himself? Join Calvin as he experiences the thrill, heartbreaks, and excitement of Moving Up.[1]

Production
According to Maru Peter Henry, the film's director, the movie tackles relevant issues that surround the life of a typical teenager. "Touch-basing family issues, bullying, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, and even obedience to school policies." And made sure that Moving Up also touches the heart. He also added that "Love has the power to heal, strengthen, and change. Love is the catalyst of forgiveness and acceptance. It gives our existence purpose and makes our hearts whole. Indeed, love is something we cannot truly exist without."[2]
