Mr. Weather is a progressive metal band formed in the summer of 2014 in Quebec City, Canada[1]. The band was founded by Thomas Vidal and Gabriel Drolet-Pollock and is known for its blend of rock and heavy metal influenced by legendary bands.[2]
History
Formation and Early Years
The band originated from a meeting between Thomas Vidal and Gabriel Drolet-Pollock. Inspired by a song titled "Mr. Weather" composed by Thomas Vidal, the band's name reflects their musical journey. Their sound is influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, FireHouse, Dokken, Steppenwolf, Cream, and Nazareth.[3]
Debut and Rise to Fame
Mr. Weather's first performance was on March 21, 2015. They have since performed alongside acts such as Sonata Arctica[4][5], Udo Dirkschneider,[6] The Agonist[7], and Hammerfall, and participated in the Festival d'été de Québec in 2017 and 2019.[8][9]
