The pageant is not only a celebration of beauty and culture, but serves as the largest charity event for the (Women in Need) WIN Foundation, a nonprofit organization that specializes in abuse and recovery of self-esteem. Mrs Globe Australia also supports Heart Kids and Bully Zero Australia Foundation.[4] The pageant was founded in 1996 and is directed by Kylie Tsiaforgiannis & Sophie Gilinas, every year the winners are to compete overseas and represent Australia in the Mrs Globe international beauty contest.[3] The winner of the international contest for 2016 will be announced on December 11 in Hainan, China.[4]

An important requirement is that women are involved in charities, this is highlighted by the 2016 winners; Ms Australia Globe Hristina Risteski[1] is also a police officer for the Victoria Police,[2] while not heavily involved in charity directly due to her strict job requirements regarding the third sector she continues to grow as a public figure and will ensure that women's rights are promoted through her career path in the police force.[3]
Ms Oceania Danielle McAlpine Johnson[2] runs a nonprofit organization called CheekyMac Charities[3] which she founded in 2010 with her Husband Chico Johnson[5] that works closely with a variety of projects led by young people, orphanages, schools and churches around the world, through music, film and photographs they try to change kids’ perceptions of themselves while talking to them about issues such as bullying, unity, equality, community, body image and racism.[6]
Ms Australasia Nikki Eastmure[3] is dedicating her life to inspiring and empowering women to lead healthy and active lives through her passion project The Body Co.[2] and assisted children through multiple organizations Charities, hospitals and orphanages. Her current mission is to promote a healthy body image for women and help the Butterfly Foundation[7] to help women and men who suffer from eating disorders.
