Muheet Shabir (born in 7 August 2001) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC as the fourth goalkeeper ahead of 2020-21 Indian Super League season.[1]

Early Life[edit]

Shabir was born in Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir. Shabir began his football career by joining the academy of I-League side, the Real Kashmir FC. He then later moved to the Jammu and Kashmir State Football Academy. He was called up for trials in India Under-19 as well as the Tata Football Academy.[2]

Career[edit]

Kerala Blasters FC Reserves and Academy[edit]

Shabir began his senior career by joining the reserve side of Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters FC. He had featured for the club in I-League 2nd Division, in Kerala Premier League and for their Under-18 Division. He was a part of KPL winning team of Kerala Blasters Reserves.[3][4]

Kerala Blasters FC[edit]

Ahead of 2020-21 Indian Super League season, Shabir earned promotion under a five year contract to the senior-team of Kerala Blasters from the Reserves squad to serve as the club's option for fourth Goalkeeper.[5]
