Mukesh Bhakar (born on 6 May 1988) is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Member of legislative Assembly Rajasthan and as the Vice President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Youth Congress. As member of the Congress party, he has represented the Ladnun assembly seat in Rajasthan since 2018.[1] He was influenced by the ideology of Bhagat Singh at a very young age and was actively engaged in social political work even as a student. He was previously State president of NSUI Rajasthan, (Student wing of Indian National Congress party) and National Secretary of NSUI. [2]
Early life
Mukesh Bhakar was born in Village Khariya in panchayat Dindarpura in Ladnun constituency of Rajasthan. He is the son of the Retd army Soldier Shri Surja Ram Bhakar and Sohini devi. He belongs to Farmer family. He completed his school education from Shekhawati School in nearby town Losal After that he went for Higher study to Rajasthan University, Jaipur. He studied at Rajasthan College, Jaipur, and holds degree B.A. & M.A. from Rajasthan University.[3]
Political life
He became a student Activist during college time and started fighting for the rights of the student and struggling for the interests of the students. In 2012 - 13 He contested election of State President of NSUI Rajasthan and won with a huge margin.[4] In his Leadership NSUI won Election in Rajasthan University after a long period of 12 years. Soon after, the National President of NSUI gave him an opportunity in national team as a National Secretary after that he was appointed as the incharge of NSUI for states Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. INC Chief Rahul Gandhi and State President Sachin Pilot identified his organizational skills and impressed with his hard work and determination. After that Congress Party gave him an opportunity to contest general elections of state assembly in December 2018 where he successfully managed a win by margin of 12947 votes. [5] In Assembly, He is continuously raising issues of farmers and common men. Currently he is most active representative and Nearly at every issue he has made aware the government about common public interests. [6]
