Mulnivasi

Mulnivasi or Mulvasi referred to native or indigenous people of a region in India.[1][2] In Jharkhand, it referred to native indigenous non-tribal people who are in list of Other Backward Class, forward caste and Scheduled Caste or Dalit.[2][3][4] Scheduled Tribe are called Adivasi.[2]

Dalit politics of Bahujan Samaj Party advocate Mulnivasi theory by claiming indigenous origin of dalit as opposed to foreign origin of Aryan. It is against Brahmanical belief and advocate neo-buddhism called Navayana. It aim to uproot dalit youth from their subaltern customs and traditions which have resulted in disillusionment among dalit youth. More and more people are finding it difficult to associate with dalit politics.[6] Dalit-Bahujan organization BAMCEF which advocate Mulnivasi theory was under scanner of Maharashtra police for spreading fake history by publishing videos on YouTube claiming Sambhaji was killed by Brahmin Nanasaheb Peshwa which resulted in 2018 Bhima Koregaon violence in Maharashtra.[7]

In Jharkhand, Moolvasi referred to native indigenous non-tribal Other Backward Class, Forward Caste and Scheduled Caste or Dalit people.[2] There is a demand in Jharkhand to create a domicile policy which will benefit Moolvasi of Jharkhand in government jobs.[8][9]
