Michael James Kovach[lower-alpha 1] (born June 17, 1995)[1][2] is an American voice actor. He is best known for voicing Angel Dust in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, Jax in The Amazing Digital Circus, N in Murder Drones, and Rocky Rickaby in the Lackadaisy pilot and web series.

Career[edit]

Kovach has lent his voice to a multitude of projects, most specifically, web animation, video games and anime.

Web Animation[edit]

In 2019, he voiced the character of Angel Dust in Hazbin Hotel and would do so until his departure from the role in December 2021.[3] He would go on to voice Serial Designation N from the Glitch Productions animated series Murder Drones,[4] Rocky Rickaby from the animated adaptation of Lackadaisy,[5] and most recently, Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus.[6]

Anime[edit]

His first role in anime would be as Bunny in Akudama Drive.[7] He would then be hired to voice a bunch of other anime, like Dragon Goes House-Hunting, The Prince of Tennis II,[8] Amaim Warrior at the Borderline,[9] Love Com,[10], and Reborn!.[11]

Interactive[edit]

In 2014, he lent his voice to various visual novels. In 2020, he announced that he was the voice of Fantoccio in Billie Bust Up.[12] In 2021, he voiced Skeight in the video game adaptation of Chris Niosi's web series TOME. In 2022, he voiced Tsukuyomi's Bioslicer skin in Smite and Graff, R.J., and Guard in BROK the InvestiGator.[13]

Personal life[edit]

He was obsessed with Mickey Mouse in middle school, and wanted to learn how to do his voice. Eventually he made friends in the Sonic the Hedgehog fandom that were also interested in voice acting, and they introduced him to a voice acting site, and made lots of friends that helped him learn and improve.[14] Kovach identifies as a heteroromantic asexual, and is currently in a relationship with cleanup animator Ashley Nichols, whom he met while working on Hazbin Hotel.
