Music & Science is an open access peer-reviewed academic journal covering the field of music psychology. It is published by SAGE Publications on behalf of the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research (SEMPRE).[1] It was established in 2017 as a multidisciplinary journal to advance the scientific study of music.[2] Ian Cross (University of Cambridge) is the current and founding editor-in-chief.[3] The journal publishes research from the fields of cognitive science, neuroscience, psychoacoustics, development, education, philosophy, aesthetics, ethnomusicology, music sociology, archaeology, ethology, music theory, history, performance science, digital culture studies, sound studies, and music therapy.
