Lionel Yu, also known by his YouTube channel name as MusicalBasics, is a Chinese-American YouTuber, classically trained composer and pianist. His specialty is epic piano music focusing on expressing the "Basics" of human emotions. He was born in Hangzhou, China and raised in Maryland, United States.
