Mykhailo Veniaminovych Maiman — The Volunteer Formation Commander of the 14th Territorial Community of Kyiv "Mykhailo's Archangels", ATO veteran. He participated in the liberation of the Kyiv region from Russian troops, and is a participant in hostilities in the St. Mary's Battalion. During the anti-terrorist operation participated in the liberation of Mariupol and took part in the battles for Ilovaisk.
Biography
Maiman was born on February 11, 1985, in the city of Kyiv. Last name from birth Pomohaybo.
Until 2014, he was a businessman in the restaurant and automotive sectors. When the war in Donbas broke out, he sold the business and became a military volunteer.
In 2013–2014 he participated in the Revolution of Dignity.
In 2014–2016, while serving in the Donbas, Maiman was a member of Dmytro Korchynsky's "Bratstvo" battalion, participated in the liberation of Mariupol from Russian invaders and the battles for Ilovaisk, where he received two combat wounds. After that he became deputy commander of the St. Mary's Battalion in Mariupol and Bakhmut (Artemivsk).
In 2015, Maiman ran for deputy of the Vasylkiv District Council.
In 2019 he ran[1] for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as an independent candidate (223rd constituency of the Kyiv region).
In January 2020, a fight broke[2][3] out between Deputy from OPZZh Illia Kyva and Maiman at the Mosso restaurant in Kyiv. After that, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka opened a case[4][5] against Kyva under the article on intentional infliction of moderate bodily injuries.
In September 2021, Maiman claimed[6] Illia Kyva had settled an attack[7] on him in Turkey, though it failed. This version was partially confirmed by Kyva himself, who was the first to publish a message about Maiman's "broken spine" on social networks, which turned out to be fake[8].
Since February 24, 2022, with the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, he has taken part in the battles for Kyiv[9].
In March 2022, Maiman was appointed The Volunteer Formation Commander of the 14th Territorial Community of Kyiv "Mykhailo's Archangels", which, as part of the 95th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, recaptured[10] the settlements of the Makarovsky district of the Kyiv region.
