NDTV MP Chhattisgarh (also known as NDTV MPCG) is an Indian Hindi-language regional news channel owned by New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV). It launched on 21 August 2023 alongside its companion website, mpcg.ndtv.in, and was the first channel in NDTV's regional expansion. The channel serves audiences in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
History
The launch followed NDTV's acquisition by the Adani Group in 2022 and formed part of a wider move into India's regional news market.NDTV Rajasthan followed as the network's second regional channel on 5 September 2023. At the time of launch, executive director and editor-in-chief Sanjay Pugalia framed the regional strategy as an effort to supply hyper-local news to viewers in these states; executive director Senthil Chengalvarayan linked the launch to the network's earlier record in news broadcasting.
