  1. The current LIU athletic program was created in 2019 when Long Island University merged the Division I program of its Brooklyn campus with the Division II program of its Post campus. The merged program inherited the D-I membership of the Brooklyn campus, and is credited with Brooklyn's history and records.
  2. UTRGV was founded in 2013 by the merger of D-I UT Pan American and NAIA member UT Brownsville, and started merged operations in 2015. The UTRGV athletic program inherited UTPA's D-I membership, as well as the history and records of all UTPA sports.
