The 2023 National Invitational Tournament is a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I men's college basketball teams not selected to the 2023 NCAA tournament. The tournament will begin on March 14 and will end on March 30. The first three rounds will be played on campus sites and the Semi-final and the championship final will be played at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas instead of Madison Square Garden in New York City in Previous Years.[1].
Participants[edit]
Teams and parings will be announced for the 2023 NIT will be released by the NIT committee on March 12 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPNU it will continue it's 32 team field.
Automatic qualifiers[edit]
The 2023 tournament will continue with 32 teams of guaranteeing berths to teams which had the best regular season record in their Conference, but failed to win it's Conference Tournament.
Schedule[edit]
The 2023 National Invitation Tournament will begin on March 14 with the first round. First Round games will be played on both Tuesday and Wedensday March 15. The semifinals will be held on Tuesday March 28 and the championship game will be held on Tuesday March 30.
Bracket[edit]
The 32 team bracket will be announced on March 12. It will be released via the NIT Selection Show on ESPNU at 9 p.m. EDT on March 12.
Media[edit]
ESPN, Inc. will have exculsive coverage television rights to all of the NIT games. It will televised every game across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN+. Westwood One has exclusive radio rights to the semifinals and the championship.
