NJstar
NJstar (Chinese: 南極星), also known as NJstar Software Company, is an Australian software company. NJstar Communicator (Chinese: 南極星全球通) and NJstar Word Processor (Chinese: 南極星文書系統) were originally developed for PC platforms, to enable the English version of Windows 9x to support the display and input of Chinese, Japanese or Korean language. In 1990s, NJstar software is installed in many computer rooms and Internet cafes in Australia, to facilitate communication between Asian students and their relatives.
Later, because Windows XP has better multi-language support built-in, the use of NJstar has been reduced.[1]
