NTG Bærum is a private secondary school located in Bekkestua in Bærum and is part of Norges Toppidrettsgymnas.[1]
History[edit]
The Norsk Alpingymnas Foundation (NAG) was established in Bærum in 1981, and was the start of what would become Norges Toppidrettsgymnas.[2] Some of the first students to attend the school included the Alpine skiers Finn Christian Jagge, Tom Stiansen and Lasse Kjus. [3]
The school moved from Vøyenenga to Bekkestua in 2003.[4] Nadderud stadion and Nadderudhallen are located close to the school. In 2004, a primary school (NTG-U) was established in Bærum. The primary school and secondary school are now located in the same place in Bekkestua.
Toppidrettsgymnaset has around 270 students, and has particpants in 14 sports: Alpine skiing, basketball, table tennis, football, golf, handball, ice hockey, judo, motocross, sailing, chess, swimming, cycling, and tennis.

Some of the former students at NTG Bærum have been Olympic and World Champions, including:

- Thor Hushovd
- Lasse Kjus
- Ailo Gaup
- Finn Christian Jagge
Others to have attended the school include Stig-André Berge, Mats Zuccarello, Sander Sagosen, Mats Møller Dæhli, Jo Inge Berget, Caroline Graham Hansen and Andreas Mikkelsen.[5]
