NTG Bærum is a private secondary school located in Bekkestua in Bærum and is part of Norges Toppidrettsgymnas.[1]

History[edit]

The Norsk Alpingymnas Foundation (NAG) was established in Bærum in 1981, and was the start of what would become Norges Toppidrettsgymnas.[2] Some of the first students to attend the school included the Alpine skiers Finn Christian Jagge, Tom Stiansen and Lasse Kjus. [3]

The school moved from Vøyenenga to Bekkestua in 2003.[4] Nadderud stadion and Nadderudhallen are located close to the school. In 2004, a primary school (NTG-U) was established in Bærum. The primary school and secondary school are now located in the same place in Bekkestua.

Toppidrettsgymnaset has around 270 students, and has particpants in 14 sports: Alpine skiing, basketball, table tennis, football, golf, handball, ice hockey, judo, motocross, sailing, chess, swimming, cycling, and tennis.
