She studied geography at the Damascus University, and got married during the third year at the university.[3] When the Syrian civil war started, she and her husband fled to Jordan.[2] Three days after arriving at the Zaatari refugee camp as a refugee in 2013, she signed up to become a volunteer for the Questscope Foundation, a humanitarian organization working with and for young people. She volunteered to teach youth and adolescents on matters such as reproductive health, Motherhood and puberty.[1][4]

In 2016, she was invited as representative for Questscope to speak at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, at a conference for adolescents and youth focusing on the sustainable development goals.[1] She spoke about asylum and the situation for youth and women in the camp.[3]
UNFPA highlighted her in their publication of prominent icons and activists during the last 50 years.[4]
