Nainaa is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language female centric rom-com film, written and directed by debutant Sridhar siya, an engineer turned director. It stars Gouri Nair a multilingual actress in the main lead playing the title role[1][2] Other casting included Palti Govind, Sai Laxman, Neha Aithal, Sumanth rai and Chidambaram.[3][4]
The film was officially selected for the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival and received positive reviews and applause from the audience.[5][6] Pradeep V Bangarpete worked as DOP for the movie. Kalki Abhishek scored music and songs. Sumanth rai and Chidambaram are the editors of this movie. Putnanja barki, krishna kumar and Sathish joined the project as associate directors. Mohan l Rangakahale worked as colorist and Girish Rangakahale as sound engineer, mixing and Foley artist. Suryaa worked as production manager.
Plot[edit]
It's a female centric movie. Protagonist Nainaa hails from middle-class family who has a responsibility of taking care of her family. She is an engineer who lost her job and joins a tech assistant job. Recently broke up with her boyfriend for same reason mostly women fight for. Her struggles, outlook on life, her viewpoints and her thought process from a feminine view is countered by the men's view point through her boyfriend. The movie depicts the two different angles of a same problem while viewing from a male and female perspective. This movie is about a relationship at its wreckage and how the society contributes to it. There is also a bird's eye view on work life pressures and family and social commitments of an individual. The movie keeps one's mind engaged discussing to own self, on a person having passion as their profession as well a different passion and a profession, The story talks about acceptance than expectations, Hope than giving up, Trust than insecurity. There is also an interesting plot played by her boyfriend determining his part of the story. Whether the boyfriend wins over Nainaa's perspective or whether she end up holding on to her own thoughts will be unfolded while the movie wind-up ಜನರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾದ ನೈನಾ!

Production and Filming[edit]
The film is produced by Sridhar Siya with the help of his family and friends, under the banner Sridhar Siya Cinemas.[7] The whole film was shot in a single schedule which started in July 2020 in Bengaluru.[8]
