Naked Bicycles is a bicycle frame manufacturer and online retailer of custom mountain, cyclo-cross and road bicycles located on Quadra Island, British Columbia, Canada.
History[edit]
Sam Whittingham started Naked Bicycles in 1998. Sam built the first Naked frame for a friend. That bike is still in use today. Since then, Naked has won awards and grown into an online retailer of custom bicycles.[1] As a company they focus on handmade craftsmanship, quality and tailoring their frames to each customer's unique requirements.[2] They are one of a growing set of notable Canadian frame design and manufacturers.[3] They build steel and titanium frames. The frame customization process can involve working with the rider.[4] They sponsor Naked Factory Riders including Canadian cyclo-cross cyclist Mical Dyck.[5]
