Nakkilan Vire

Nakkilan Vire is a sports club founded in 1945 and it is operating in Nakkila. Its range of sports today includes skiing, athletics and bowling. The club has about 350 members.
The most well-known athlete representing Vire is Milla Saari, the Olympic representative of skiing, who was also involved in winning the World Championship silver medal in relay skiing, which was later abandoned due to a doping suspicion. Other well-known Vire athletes include the European Championships in running Harri Kivelä and Eila Mikola, as well as the club's most successful athletes of the 21st century, sprinter Jenna Jokela and high jumper Eero-Pekka Uusimäki.[1]
