Namava (Persian: نماوا) is a shared Iranian online request (VOD) system for broadcasting movies and series, through which you will have access to Iranian and foreign serials, movies and animations.[1] This system was launched in late 1992 and early 1993 by Shuttle Internet Company. It was launched that initially focused on shuttle subscribers, but subscribers from other Internet companies could also use it.[2]

Namawa began with the name Moviland, which was part of the Shuttle Land. In April 2016, the Shuttland Film website, which operated under the name of Moviland, was renamed Namava.[3][4] Namava is the first exclusive series of years away from home, which was released by Namava on April 21, 2017.[5] This website is for watching movies online and which has a contract with some Iranian internet companies to watch movies for free.[6] This website also has a blog in which it reviews and explains movies.[7]
Namawa entered the arena of competition among on-demand screening systems,[8] preceded by Cinema Market[9] and Filmnet.[10] Namava, which was founded before Filimo, after a while, like Filimo, grew very well, which led to the formation of a bipolar market for the requested Iranian display systems.[11]

On July 4, 2017, some movie download sites were closed. This caused some cyberspace users to point the finger of blame at Nemava and make Nemava the main culprit. The next day, Namawa denied his role in blocking other websites, saying in a statement that he had no role in closing them. But the protesting users went to the Netflix social media page and wrote the comment: "Nemava is stealing from you!" The sheer number of comments eventually prompted Netflix to respond to the messages on its social media page, replicating users' messages with a sarcastic post from "Ant Man"! This message contains the image of the protagonist of "Ant Man", who is originally a character of a thief. Netflix also uses the title "aunt" instead of the word "ant" in the title of this image, which evokes the meaning of "aunt's man".[12][13]
