Nanawall is an American company that manufactures, sells and distributes proprietary folding glass wall systems for luxury applications[1][2].
History[edit]
Nanawall was founded in 1986 by Engineer Ebrahim Nana in an effort to provide solutions to large architectural openings[3][4].
In 1996, Nananawall entered into a partnership with German company Solarlux in order to improve the quality of its operable glass wall technology[5].
In 2005, the company established its first manufacturing facility in Richmond, California. As of 2018, the company employs over 100 full-time employees[6].
In 2016, the company filed a patent application for a "Glass door apparatus with a right and a left glass door leaf". The patent was approved by the USPTO later that year[7].
In early 2018, the company developed a new sill option for its cero sliding glass wall system. The new profile brought the total number of options for the cero system up to four, the largest array of sill options for minimal glass wall systems in the industry[8]. Later that year, the company developed a proprietary feature named RemoteSTACK that allows architects and homeowners to place and stack their glass door panels anywhere, allowing for more flexibility for both architects and homeowners alike[9].
As of 2018, the company has over 18 showrooms across the United States and Mexico[10].
Industry Recognition[edit]
Nanawall is recognized by several industry publications for offering and effective solution when it comes to maximizing sight lines with its minimal framing[11][12].
A market study conducted in 2018 by Pro Market Research focused on the rate of development of the sliding-wall systems market in 2018 named NanaWall as one of the "dominating players" in the market due to its large market share and brand recognition[13].
