Nandini Jolly is the founder, President and CEO of CryptoMill Technologies Inc., a data security company. As its founder, Jolly foresaw the development of security solutions to tackle both external and internal threats to confidential, sensitive and personal information. Her vision is to deliver security that, by design, is simple and usable for the end user.

Career at CryptoMill[edit]

At CryptoMill, Jolly fosters a culture of collaborative learning and mentorship. Co-op students from Engineering and Computer Science departments at a number of local academic institutions such as Ontario’s University of Waterloo are active members of the CryptoMill team. Jolly believes in Gandhi’s philosophy of ‘being the change you want to see’. Under her leadership and desire to have CryptoMill reflect her sense of corporate social responsibility, she started an initiative where the team was encouraged to use their skills and knowledge in encryption to develop an email app for consumers. Vanishh is now available for download from all the app stores.

Work[edit]

As a Privacy by Design Ambassador, she co-authored a white paper in December of 2012 with Dr. Ann Cavoukian when she was Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario and Sam Marafioti, CIO, Sunnybrook Hospital entitled “Encryption by Default and Circles of Trust”[1]

Education[edit]

Jolly received her Masters in International Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the London Business School, England. Jolly is a frequent speaker on security and privacy.
