Nanna Heidenreich (born 1970) is a scholar, curator, filmmaker, and activist. Since 2016, she has been Professor of Digital Narratives–Theory at the ifs internationale filmschule köln in Cologne. She has also held positions in media studies at the University of Hildesheim (2016) and at the University of the Arts in Braunschweig (2011-2016). As a curator, she has organized exhibitions and film programs for the Berlinale Film Festival's Forum Expanded program and for the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. As an activist, she is involved in issues of migration and human rights through her work with the antiracist network Kanak Attak. Her most recent project is the Symposium Hotspots: Migration and the Sea in Cologne, planned for November 2019, where artists, activists, and scholars will "bring together reflections on [...] hotspots of geopolitical currency where different interests interact: economic, military, biological, human, philosophical ones."[1]
