Naomi Andrews
Naomi Andrews (born November, 1981) is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. She served as Chief of Staff and campaign manager for Carol Shea-Porter in the United States House of Representatives representing New Hampshire's 1st congressional district.[1]
Early life and education[edit]
Naomi was raised and currently resides in Epping, New Hampshire. She grew up in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire, attending Epping High School. She is a first generation college graduate, and she received her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies from Middlebury College and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Richmond School of Law.[2]

Candidate for Congress[edit]
Naomi is running in the United States House of Representatives election to represent the 1st congressional district in New Hampshire.[3] She announced her candidacy on May 2, 2018.[4] She is currently endorsed in the election by United States House of Representative, Carol Shea-Porter.[5]
Chief of Staff[edit]
Naomi worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter in 2007-2011, 2013-2015, 2017-2018.[6][7][8]
Campaign manager[edit]
From 2011-2012 and 2015-2016 Naomi served as U.S. House of Representatives Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter's campaign manager.[9]

Veterans[edit]
Re-introduce the Veterans Health Equity Act, to require the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to restore the VA Medical Center in Manchester to a full-service VA hospital, or provide our veterans with comparable in-state care through local health care providers.
Education[edit]
Reduce the interest rates for school loans, allow families to deduct the interest, and provide more money for grants and loans, as well as protecting loan forgiveness for public service.
Health care, Medicare, Social Security[edit]
Allow people of any age to buy into Medicare. Preserve and protect Medicare and Social Security for seniors. Allow the Federal government to negotiate the costs of prescription drugs, increase the number of auditors, and improve technology to crack down on waste and fraud. Robust investment in medical research and disease prevention.
Environment[edit]
Renewable energy, greater oversight for safe water, clean air, and fewer pesticides. Protect endangered species and punish polluters.
National security[edit]
Resources for defense and to honor our commitments. Promote understanding, cooperation, and conflict resolution. Use foreign aid, diplomacy, and soft power. Fully staff the State Department its diplomatic efforts around the world.
Gun violence[edit]
Join Gun Violence Task Force. All gun purchases, except for gifts between immediate family members, should require a background check. Stop the gun show loophole. Strengthen the national background check system and include all relevant information. Give law enforcement the ability to remove firearms from those who have shown they might be a danger to themselves and others.
