Nati Celebrity Services (sometimes listed as “Nati Celebs”[1]) is an American public relations firm founded and named after Domenick Nati.[2] Founded as a sports PR firm, Nati Celebrity Services shifted its focus to music and entertainment in 2011 with their first music client DMX.[3]

Corporate history

Nati Celebrity Services was founded in Charlotte, NC in 2006 by former television producer Domenick Nati.[4] The company started with its first client, NBA player Brevin Knight[2] and eventually moved on to athletes in the NFL and NASCAR.[5] The company then moved to California and opened its services to recording artists and entertainers, the first being rapper DMX in June of 2011.[6] The company eventually went on to represent other recording artists and actors such as Boris Kodjoe[4], Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York City[4], Warren G[7], Pauly Shore[8], and Cedric the Entertainer.[9]

Notable work

In 2008, Bruton Smith’s Speedway Children's Charities announced a partnership with Nati Celebrity Services to enhance a greater list of celebrity appearances.[10] Professional athletes and their charities were the primary focus until 2010 when the company began promoting the modeling career of Kyle Busch’s wife, Samantha Sarcinella.[11]

The company was not known for much controversy until June of 2011 when they announced their representation of hip hop artist DMX.[12] Nati Celebrity Services and Domenick Nati were known for defending their client despite his frequent legal trouble.[13] [14] The company also exposed a premature announcement that DMX agreed to a boxing match with George Zimmerman.[15] [16] The company also arranged television appearances for DMX, including his controversial interview with Dr. Phil.[17]

In addition to DMX, Nati Celebrity Services continued to focus on other clients in music and entertainment. The company and its founder, Domenick Nati, are often listed as a point of contact for its clients and have been mentioned in news reports involving their clients and other celebrities such as: Justin Bieber, [18] Taylor Swift, [19] [20] Beyoncé, [21] and Madonna.
