The National Socialist Party of Costa Rica was an illegal extreme right group attached to neo-Nazism in Costa Rica.[1][2]
The group was mostly made up of young Skinheads and declared itself enemy of Jews, blacks, Chinese, homosexuals, communists, feminists, Freemasons and especially Nicaraguan and Colombian immigrants.[1]
The group also claimed "to defend the rights of European Costa Rican white people". The phenomenon of neo-Nazism in Costa Rica is a social phenomenon that emerged at the beginning of the 21st century. It usually extends among skinheads groups mostly composed of young people.[1]
The group came to public light after a news report made by La Nacion newspaper, in which the group's leader known only as Gregorio was interviewed. Police and political authorities assure that the group was under investigation. [1] After a series of violent attacks against minorities, particularly transgender people, the group disbanded.[citation needed]
