The Kurdish National Socialist Party, also known as the Kurdish Nazi Party is a far-right, Neo-Nazi, and Neo-Fascist group based in Iraqi Kurdistan with approximately 50 active members.
History[edit]
The PSNK was founded by Kurdish youth who combined Kurdish nationalism with Nazism. The party also promotes racism towards everyone that is not a Kurd, especially against the neighboring ethnic groups, including Arabs, Turks, Jews, Assyrians, Persians, Armenians, Chaldeans, Azerbaijanis, and Greeks. The PSNK has claimed that many prominent Kurdish figures, including Masoud Barzani and Jalal Talabani are of Jewish descent and are on a mission to destroy Kurdistan. The party also connected them to Jewish conspiracies. PSNK claims to be a "Fascist party that based it’s policies, both economic and social, on the philosophy of Giovcani Gentile and follows in the footsteps of and Anti-Communist and Anti-Capitalist Nationalistic movement which advocates corporatism and the unifications of our people as one cohesive block, based on culture and the regional territories we inhabit and have inhabited for centuries".[1]
The PSNK's logo features the Kurdish Sun with a Nazi swastika inside of it. They have said that Kurdistan is for ethnic Kurds only, and stated that they want to expel everyone who isn't Kurdish. They also target Kurds who hold positive views about other ethnicities. They have placed propaganda posters in many public areas in Erbil, mainly a poster which features their logo overlooking the Citadel of Erbil which reads "Kurdistan for Kurds".[2]
