Navin Krishna Giri (born 30 April 1972) is an Indian-born lawyer and media personality known for his successful legal career. Giri relocated to Canada where he has since become a cultural ambassador promoting Indian languages, culture, and entertainment through his channels.[1][2][3]
With a career spanning over 22 years in law, he established himself as a successful lawyer before relocating to Canada.
Giri comes from a distinguished lineage as the great-grandson of Former President of India V V Giri, who served as the 4th President of [India].
His channels, Kyon Ghanti Bajee and Champions of Canada, have gained a substantial following in both India and Canada,[4] showcasing Giri's ability to bridge cultural gaps and celebrate [Indian heritage]. [5]
Early Life
Giri worked as a lawyer for over 22 years[6], gaining recognition for handling complex legal matters[7], including extradition cases. His dedication made him well-known in India[8]. He graduated from Law Center 1, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 2002, where he honed his skills and passion for legal advocacy.[9]
Performance
Navin Giri has also been a former Special Public Prosecutor–Extradition[10] for the Ministry of External Affairs–India.[11] In 2022, he launched two popular YouTube channels named Kyon Ghanti Bajee[12], and Champions of Canada[13] which focuses on Indo - Canadian language, culture, personalities, and entertainment. These channels gained popularity in both India and Canada, accumulating over 60,000 followers on Instagram.[14] His show featured numerous Bollywood actors, singers, theater artists, and Indian poets.[14]
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama graciously blessed Navin Giri during a visit to Dharamshala.[15]
Achievements
In 2022, Navin Krishna Giri started two YouTube channels named as Kyon Ghanti Bajee[16] and Champions of Canada[17] which featured a diverse array of guests, including Indian social activist Anna Hazare[18], renowned poets such as Ashok Chakradhar[19], Popular Meeruthi[20], and Surender Sharma[21]. The show also welcomed esteemed actors Rakesh Bedi[22], Zarina Wahab[23], Kanwaljit Singh (actor) [24], Govind Namdev[25], and Virendra Saxena[26]. Indian Film Directors like Rumi Jaffery[27] and Sudipto Sen[27], along with singers Tochi Raina[28], Bali Brahmbhatt[29], Shailendra Singh[30], and Sudesh Bhosle[31] and Tarek Fatah[31] contributed to the channel's success.
Notable Canadian guests included Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia Jinny Sims[32] and Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley[33] highlighting Giri's efforts to bring Indo - Canadian ties stronger.
