Navjit Buttar (born 28 February 1990) is an Indian video director born and raised in Nabha, Patiala in Punjab, India. He has worked with Diljit Dosanjh, Sonu Kakkar, Ammy Virk, Sharry Mann, Hardy Sandhu, Jaz Dhami, and Jassi Gill.[1][2][3][4][5]
Life and career[edit]
Education[edit]
At the beginning of his career, he started filming cover videos for the released songs later his passion turned into his profession, followed by forming a company called Virsa Arts with fellow director Arvindr Khaira. In the year 2015, the director duo dissolved their company and Navjit started working solo as Music Video Director.[6][7][8][9]
Early work[edit]
In 2011, Arvindr Khaira and Buttar started a music video production company named Virsa Arts, which direct and produced many music videos. Its first popular and award-winning music video is "Soch", sung by Harrdy Sandhu.[10][11][12][13]
2015– present[edit]
In January 2015, Buttar left Virsa Arts and his last video for the outfit was Ammy Virk’s music video titled "Taara", which was released on 27 January 2015 by Sony Music India. After this, Buttar left the company he started. In 2018, he won the PTC Best Music Video Award for his directed music video titled "Turbanator". In 2019, BritAsia TB Music Awards awarded him as the best music video director.[14][15]
